Anesu, describe yourself and what you do in 1 paragraph
I’m just a village boy in search for gold! With a keen interest in the fashion, lifestyle and entertainment space, I’m a content creator, stylist and model who has taken the country by a storm and also winning a few awards for what I do.
How long have you been on social media?
I’ve been on social media for roughly 5 years, but for the past 3 years I’ve monetised my social media and used it as a platform to share my interests and content.
What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from you by just following you on social media?
The most interesting thing by far is the fact that I’m only turning 21 and I’m a marketing student, exciting right!
What is the best advice given to you?
The best advice I’ve ever been given and I’ll give this to anybody who asks, just start! It goes down to 3 steps to follow in every situation in life:
- Start where you are
- Do what you can
- Use what you have
By following these 3 steps, you’ll achieve anything you put your mind to!
Share with us your must-have grooming product
I obsess about my hair quite a lot and to keep it fresh; I advise any gent to invest in a good shampoo & conditioner to keep your hair healthy and glistening!
Which fashion brand do you love wearing?
The fashion brand that best tickles my fancy Zara, and Tiger of Sweden for bespoke suits, otherwise I’m not one to wear one brand only, everyone has a good piece of fashion to offer!
Do you have a bucket list travel destination?
Funny enough I want to travel SA & Africa flat first before I set my foot abroad, but who am I kidding, America has always been my vibe, New York to be exact!
Which other influencers inspire you?
I draw inspiration not only from influencers but different cultures and people impact the way I live and dress, some creatives I look up to include Black Coffee, Pharrell Williams and our very own Sergio Ines with whom I am pretty good friends with now.
What advice are you able to share with other upcoming influencers and content creators?
Being authentic will take you far, stay true to yourself and maintain the vision and hunger you had when you started.
